TSH: The Mites

The Mites are the unsung backbone of the Sclerite Hegemony, functioning as specialized living ordnance rather than traditional combatants. Launched from long-range artillery, these biomechanical units are designed for singular, high-impact delivery. In offensive operations, they act as mobile suicide drones. While many detonate instantly upon impact, those that remain intact scuttle forward to infiltrate enemy lines or flank defensive positions before triggering a devastating self-destruction. Their versatility is further defined by their role in logistics. The Hegemony utilizes them as organic supply shells, firing Mites toward friendly positions to deliver vital bio-munitions, chitin, and nutrients directly into the heat of battle. Whether serving as a volatile explosive or a mobile resource cache, the Mites are a relentless and essential tool of the Sclerite war machine.
