Sclerite Hegemony: Velite-Drones

Sclerite Hegemony: Velite-Drones The Velite-Drones serve as the dedicated, self-sacrificing bodyguards for the Cortex-Polemarchs. While the Polemarchs command the swarm, these skittering horrors are always found close by, ready to throw themselves into the line of fire. As hyper-engineered biological weapons, they lack the intelligence of their masters. Instead, their biology is built entirely around protection and aggression, with brutal melee appendages or ranged weapons integrated directly into their bodies. They are completely disposable tools, existing only to ensure the survival of the ruling caste before being recycled back into the organic soup of the Hegemony. Visuals: Skittering, biomechanical drone aesthetics with integrated brutal melee and ranged weaponry.
